Done!

After taking several days to do my Professional Practice Assessment 2, finally I AM DONE! In the assessment I've talked about the workshop that i have visited based on their financial, insurance, advertising, legal, accounting service, skilled labour requirements for effective staffing and service. I hope that i have covered everything for this assessment and I also hope that Mr. Niranjan Singh would approve my work. I guess we would just have to wait and see when the day comes to receive our marks. Anyway, i have submitted the work and now the wait begins. Plus, another assignment load off my back and it feels good!

Anyway, that's all i have to say and i believe this shall be my final blog entry as well? i htink? we shall see.

Week 15

Just finished with one of my assignments. Now time to fully focus and finish up whatever i have left with my Professional Practice Assessment 2 and at the same time, update my blog, which what i am currently doing now. Best Part is this two things are due the following week. How awesome is that? *sarcastic* Whatever, LET'S DO THIS!

Anyway, this week has been dreadful for me. Just always facing the books and assignments. Getting really tired of it. But can;t do anything about it. Like it or not, i HAVE to do it. Not only that, doing assignments at home has been abit difficult for me due to the BAD internet connection i have. So i've been heading to UNITEC alot lately to finish up my assignments and what not.

Something random and funny happened as well this week. All my housemates thought i was dead or missing cause they have been seeing me at home for the past week. They got worried and the expression on their faces when they finally saw me, priceless. Love them all. Anyway, enough of "lovey dovey" and random stories.

Back to the real world which is assignments, assignments and MORE assignments. SIGH! Looking forward to the Winter Break now.

Week 14

ARGH! Starting to feel the pressure from all the assignments. Due dates are getting closer and closer and i still have alot and i mean ALOT to do. Hope i can get things sorted out before the due dates. Well, no point complaining. Let's just try our best shall we? Wish me luck and hope that i'll get through this in one piece.

And i do believe that this week might be the last week we'll be having classes. Not just Professional Practice but EVERYTHING. Time does fly eh? It's already June, one more month till the Semester ends. WOW! 1 Semester just flew by just like that. Anyway, enough day dreaming about how time flies, back to my assignments.

Week 13

Finally handed in one of the assignment that was due this week. Feel abit relief now that one burden is off my shoulders. But i can;t stop and have fun just yet. I still have a couple more assignments to go and yes, Professional Practice Assessment 2 is one of them. SIGH! Well, the show must go on. Back to the books and assignments i suppose.

However, it's not all that bad i suppose. Planning to go back home to visit my family and friends soon. Maybe that'll motivate me to do better and push me to finish my assignments. Looking forward to that day. Anyway, enough talk..the assignments are calling me. WOOSH!

End.

Week 12

As usual..assignments, assignments & assignments. It's getting abit tough now since all the due dates are really close to each other and nearing as well. But we can't complain and give up just yet i suppose, have to push harder. Hope everything will be alright and falls into plan. I believe i'm quite behind schedule..but i'll just try my best to finish it up before the due dates. Anyway, back to assignments.

End.

Week 11

Again..pushing myself to finish up some of my assignments. The due dates are getting closer. It's crunch time for assignment i suppose for the next couple of weeks since the end of the Semester is nearing. Anyway, Mr. Niranjan was asking us about our assessment 2 today. Apparently, alot of us haven't started the assessment yet. Mr. Niranjan was surprised i suppose and asked us whether we wanted to push the due date earlier. Of course we replied with a big "NO". Sorry about that Mr. Niranjan. But he did asked us to just draft out what we have planned to do for our assessment 2 and come to class the following week and discuss with him about it. Other than that, nothing much i suppose.

End.

Week 10

Nothing much happened this week. Just did a bunch of assignments slowly and steadily. Class today was like any normal class. Just talked to Mr. Niranjan, exchanging stories about our holidays and all. The usual stuff. I guess that's about it. Nothing much to talk about this week.

End.

Week 9

Second week of the Mid Semester Break. Again..it wasn't all fun and games. Still had some assignments to do. But it has been a good week. Actually, good is not even close to describing it, it was AWESOME! Managed to get something for myself which made my life in New Zealand way better. At the same time, been travelling Auckland again, getting to know places in Auckland like where's the good food, good places to hang and etc.

Overall, it has been a good Mid Semester Break. Needed the break. However, now the week is coming to an end. You know what that means, back to classes and assignments. Sigh. Sad but what's there to do? Let's just try our best and see how it goes. Sides, more holidays are bound to come anyway.

Week 8

IT IS THE HOLIDAYS! WOOHOO! First week of the Mid Semester Break. Of course it wasn't all jolly good and fun. Still had to do some assignments but at the same time, had abit of fun. Got to know Auckland even better now since i've been walking around alot going to new places and stuff. It's been a fun first week of the Mid Semester Break. Hope the second week would be the same.

Week 7

The day to submit our first assessment has arrived. Yes, this week is the week where we have to hand it our assessment. Did minor touch ups before i handed in my assessment which i worked with Dheenesh to complete. We both were happy with the assessment and also happy that is was over. One assessment down and a couple more to go. Sigh.

This week's class, we sat down one group at a time with Mr. Niranjan to see and mark our first assessment. I suppose we did well. We did got 33/35, so no complains there. However was abit upset on why we lost marks but the reason was valid and there's nothing we can do about it but to learn from our mistakes i suppose. Hope to do better for my second assessment. Overall, it was a good day knowing that we've accomplished those marks. No complains and was satisfied with it. Now to focus on the second assessment.

Week 6

We had our panel discussion this week. It went well if i do say so myself. Maybe? We'll see how it goes. All i know is i've tried my best, gathered all the information needed and shared in during the panel discussion. During  the panel discussion, i've learned alot of new things about the workshops in New Zealand. Some are old news but some are quite new and interesting to me. For example, one of our classmate's workshop had like guided pathways made out of nuts and bolts to guide their customers around the workshop. This i find very interesting and quite a good idea as well. The discussion went on for a couple of hours and Mr. Niranjan had to end it due to his schedule. Hope i get good marks out of that discussion, we'll just have to wait and see i suppose.

End.

Week 5

We managed to go to the workshop this week for our first assessment. The workshop is called D.C. Trial and is located nearby the Glen Eden train station. If you are wondering, yes, we took the train to go to the workshop. The workshop focuses on overall maintenance like servicing, overhauls, electrical and more. We got a chance to meet up with the owner of the shop, a really friendly guy. Even though he was busy with his work, he let us walk around the shop to look around and snap some photos for our assessments. I believe we've gathered enough information to complete the first assessment.

For this week's class, we didn't do much again. Just discussed about our assessment progress and also Mr. Niranjan reminded us about the panel discussion next week. He even explained to us what going to happen and etc. I guess that's it.

End.

P/S: Here is a picture of Dheenesh and me at the D.C. Trial Workshop for our Assessment 1.

Week 4

Was suppose to go to the workshop that we have set to do our assignment on this week. However, we didn't manage to do so due to our time management and planning. I guess we have to postponed it to next week. However, this week wasn't all that bad. Had an interesting class with Mr. Niranjan today. He showed us a video of an advertisement about the new Volkswagen Amarok and asked us one question, "what is wrong with the video?". No one could see what he was trying to show until he explained it to us. He explained that the guy in the advertisement said "speed" instead of "velocity" which was the correct word to use during that time. It might be the other way around? I'm not sure, but i'm definitely sure it had something to do with the those words. Alright, i guess that's it for me.

End.

P/S: Here is the video and link to the advertisement that Mr. Niranjan showed us about the Volkswagen Amarok. Enjoy :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eGlcPDUvQQ

Week 3

Didn't do much in today's class. Mr. Niranjan came in and we had a chat about life in Auckland, New Zealand. Once again Mr. Niranjan always shocks us with his stories and they are true stories by the way. Moving on, we discussed about the assessment a bit more. This time with extra more details for the questions that we didn't know and etc. I also found out that we needed to send him a proposal for our assessment 1. Guess it was my fault for not reading the assessment package properly. However, no point complaining about it. So yea..settled my proposal and sent it off to Mr. Niranjan, hope everything will be fine tho. Other than that..we didn't do much in class. It was a nice short discussion class. Eventho is was short we still manage to get a lot of information from that class & also an early start to out weekends! But of course..Dheenesh and i have planned to go visit a workshop somewhere this week to get all out informations and etc. Let's see how that goes and i'll be keeping you guys updated on that. Well..i guess that's it for this post. Guten Nacht!

P/S: Forgot to mention that Mr. Niranjan also showed us some of the previous student;s work during Week 2. It was really nice of him to do so and i roughly got an idea how to do the assessment. I think? i guess we'll just have to see. Thank you Mr. Niranjan for the preview!

Ok! now i'm off!

Week 2

2nd Automotive Professional Practice class. The first thing i saw when Mr. Niranjan Singh came in was a stack of papers. As i suspected..it was the assessment package. Of course as a normal student..wasn't too happy to see it but those things are going to come sooner or later. We talked about the assessment package in full detail. We talked things like "what's the assessment about? how do you do it? what's the main reason?" and etc. So i got the picture what's the assessment is all about and first thing that popped in my head was.."this is not going to be easy". But of course i will try my very best to complete this assessment and pass it with flying colours. Once everything was sorted out, next was to sort the groups for assessment 1. Got my partner and he goes by the name Dheenesh. I believe we can accomplish a lot for this assessment. We'll see how it goes and i will keep on updating about the assessment process. Anyway, i believe that's all for now.

P/S: Still haven't solve the question that Mr. Niranjan gave us.

Week 1

So, the first day of Automotive Professional Practice class. Met my lecturer for this course and he goes by the name Niranjan Singh. A very fun, relax, positive and all the good things you can think of kind of guy. That is awesome! Since it's the first day, we just introduce ourselves to each other. Kind of like a ice breaking session. Got to know some new people along they way which is a plus for me. Even got to know Mr. Niranjan Singh better and his stories gave me a shock. After we're done with introducing each other, Mr. Niranjan Singh explain to us about what is the entire course all about. Along the way he also thought us how to have a "critical thinking" mindset by showing us an ad by Volkswagen. Slowly starting to understand what is "critical thinking" all about. Also asked us how to change 1$ into 100 cents by using a mathematical method. Was a blur for me. So..that's all i have to say about the first week of Automotive Professional Practice. Stay tune for more.
